Portuguese judoka Patricia Sampaio took bronze at the World Junior Championships in Zagreb in 2017 and in 2018 in Nassau. Sampaio won the Junior European title in 2018 and 2019. She was number 1 of the Junior World Ranking U78kg. She took Grand Prix bronze in Marrakech in 2019 and bronze at the Junior World Championships in Marrakech. She captured the European U23 title in Budapest in 2021. She took bronze at the Grand Slam of Tel Aviv in 2022 and 2023. She was victorious at the Grand Prix in Portugal in 2023 and took bronze at GS Antalya and Ulaanbaatar and silver at GS Astana in 2023.
