French invite Agbegnenou and Riner to Doha World Championships

The top five men who will compete in the World Championships from 7 to 14 May in Doha (Qatar) have been announced. The team includes Teddy Riner, winner of his seventh Grand Slam in Paris. Alpha Djalo, bronze medallist on Saturday (as well as at the Masters and in Tokyo), Luka Mkheidze and Daikii Bouba, bronze medallists at the Grand Prix of Portugal (and also silver at the Masters for Bouba) and Maxime N'Gayap, seventh in Paris, will also be travelling to Qatar.

-60kg : Luka Mkheidze

-66kg : Daikii Bouba

-81kg : Alpha Djalo

-90kg : Maxime N’gayap Hambou

+100kg : Teddy Riner

Eight women were selected for the Worlds in Doha, including Amandine Buchard, Romane Dicko (+78kg) and Julia Tolofua (+78kg), three of the four medallists in Tashkent last October. At their sides are also the world number one in -48kg Shirine Boukli, the now six-time gold medallist of the Paris Grand Slam Audrey Tcheuméo (-78kg), the two finalists of the last Jerusalem Masters Sarah-Léonie Cysique (-57kg) and Marie-Ève Gahié (-70kg), and the U63kg Olympic champion Clarisse Agbegnenou, who is back on the international circuit.
