Vice World champion 2015 Ana Velensek took silver in Astana in 2015 U78kg. She won an Olympic bronze medal in 2016 in Rio while being injured. Velensek won various major world level events such as gold at the Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2017 and Zagreb in 2018 +78kg. World Junior and European U23 Championships medallist and bronze winner at the European Games. Velensek won the World Military Games in 2015. She won more than 25 World Cup medals. She took bronze at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2019. She bagged a gold medal at the European Open in Zagreb in 2021.
